My newest ambition is to be the George Lucas of the comic strip. To this end I'll be reissuing some really old Cul de Sacs in unnecessary spiffy new hi-res scans! We'll start with episodes 1 and 2 of Mr. Danders first unintentional adventure from way back in March of 2005-
Actually, I'm doing these for the Italian comics magazine Linus and figured I might as well feed 'em to the blog too. More episodes to come...

Poor Mr Danders! (I can hardly wait for the next episode)...
This is my favorite Cul de Sac story arc, and that's saying something.
I'm free! Help! Help! I'm free!
Mr. Danders, I feel your panic. Every day.
Awesome.
How I have missed Mr. Danders! I'm really liking this whole "repurposing" thing.
I miss Mr. Danders, too! Can't you bring him back to the current Cul de Sac, too? Surely there's a way to get him in there again?
Some people go to grief counseling while others do origami;...my husband cleaned out the ice maker tray yesterday and flushed the ice cubes down the toilet and now it is snowing! Such insight Alice gives us; he didn't believe me when I told him it would snow LOL!!
Thanks for posting all these treasures during your time off. I always look forward to checking your blog for old cartoons and illustrations many which I haven't seen before (I first heard of CDS only about 2 years ago).
I agree with Unknown- this one is best story arc you've written, except maybe the paper towel roll/smiley rocks one.
By the way Richard, you really need to incorporate Mr. Danders and the other animals in Cul de Sac. Just sayin'...
