Ozymandius

This was done during that dark period in our country's history when Gene Weingarten edited Richard's Poor Almanac. Which is to say, before this was even called Richard's Poor Almanac, and Bill Clinton daily inflicted his psychodrama on the American people. And boy, didn't I get this one wrong, if by "this one" we mean "Clinton's legacy."

But it was fun to draw, although from the amount of white-out in evidence, it was also a pain in the ass to draw. So it's no wonder this cartoon has never seen the light of day since its first publcation.

Great! You should have that appear on "Richard's Poor Almanac" on "gocomics" so more people can see it.

Great illustration. There's still time for it to come true...

When I was in college and about to study the Romantic Poets, my professor turned to me and said in his heavy Richmond accent, "Cube. You are going to fall in love with these men." Which I promptly did. Ozymandius still sings and haunts, and it's been a while since that classroom. I just returned to them recently by reading "The Young Romantics," by Daisy Hay.

As for Clinton, I had a friend who met him recently. In passing, she was commenting on the the various personas in the room. She spoke of Clinton and said, "He gives off an aura that shines megawatt brightly--that is to say, fake, fake, fake.
