The Wisdom of Bill Griffith

This is the best advice for drawing comics I've ever seen. Forty points by Zippy's friend, Bill Griffith. Thanks to Sherm Cohen at Cartoon Snap, passed along by Tom Spurgeon at Comics Reporter.

...and thank YOU for helping to spread this good stuff around. I'm very happy to know that you've visited my blog, and I'm glad that Chris Duffy turned me on to your comics in the first place!

Though I'm not a cartoonist, I am a writer -- and what Griffith offers cartoonists applies (mostly) to writers as well. Well-said. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, thanks so much for the link Mr. Thompson!! The tips were fantastic... stuff like that plus studying comic strips like Cul de Sac are what really help my cartooning.
