Aw, it just got wordy and dumb and semi-clever and not actually funny. This may not be a vast improvement, but it sure ain't wordy.The other one may be salvageable with strenuous work involving a big sharp knife.
I nearly spit up my cereal at the dialogue below the hand puppet. So I endorse this use of the space.
