When a bartender has no poetry in his soul, something is wrong indeed! It shouldn't be tolerated, and is a FAR greater detriment to an Irish Pub than filthy restrooms (which aren't optimal, but hey, whattya gonna do?)
I used to play in that place. The O'Chluthu's really is quite good, though, yes, a bit squamous.
