Mother's Day Special

Above is an Almanac from 9 or 10 years ago, and below is the one from yesterday. I don't want to point fingers, but it looks like somebody's cartoon skills are going a wee bit downhill.



i am in awe of any Mom that can dispense PEZ out her neck....

did you read the history of the woman that got mothers day started and her subsequent petitioning to repeal it due to the crass commercialism of it all? I forget her name.. ( old age on my part)

Weirdly enough, a few years ago I illustrated a story about her for the last page of Smithsonian Mag (I can't remember her name either). She turned into a pretty bitter, monkey-wrenching semi-terrorist in her disappointment over the way the card and flower companies took over her Day.
