Today's strip reveals that Miss Bliss has become engaged to banjo virtuoso Timmy Fretwork over the summer holiday. Here's Timmy Fretwork's first appearance from an October '04 Post Magazine, which I redrew three years later for the syndicated strip. Mr. Fretwork is based on about five real people.
love Timmy's nonplussed expression
Boy have I been there. Both as crammer and crammee.
Will there be any more strips of Petey playing the oboe? I'd love to see more of that.
I passed this strip on to an elementary principal when it first ran -- she had definitely experienced the phenomenon! A lot of strips cause a laugh, but this one hits it out of the park.
@Muzition: Yes, I agree, Petey needs to practice the oboe more!
HAPPY CUL DE SAC DAY!
Yeah, Petey needs to play that thing again.
I was a preK teacher for 14 years and this is lifted right from the classroom. It's impossible to teach a kid under 5 what a question is, but oh how we tried.
This one, Petey's recital, the trip to the museum, and Keith Knight's hamster memories are my laughiest kid comics of all time. I’ve read this over and over. It never fails to amuse.
Oh, and by the way, Timmy is based on about fifty thousand people...
"Twang" :: giggle :: Is one of those five people Stephen Wade?
obviously you know kids pretty well....this is great!
