Deadline Zombie

Tom Richmond's got a Deadline Demon on his blog. So I'm calling mine a Deadline Zombie, and I'm fightin' him right now.

Deadlines are a lot like zombies, come to think of it. They move slowly but inextricably closer, clutching for your brain. They also make you think fast!

So I have a question about the perspective of Cul de Sac. It seems as though we see the adults at eye level and look down at the kids. Does that mean the narrator is an adult?

I suppose it could also be through the eyes of an ostrich, but I doubt an ostrich in the house would go by unremarked upon.

Man ... Tom Richmond's Demon at least comes across as a lovable goofball but that's one scary-looking zombie.

Makes me think Munch by way of Ralph Steadman.

Even the little things in Cul De Sac are so spot on.

Petey's head on the table today was so...perfect!

If the deadlines are getting you down, remember that we are really digging what you're doing.

Might help, maybe...

Ok, it's 7:30 on Friday and the deadlines are all fed. And things are back to normal.

Good question, Kid S. I think of it as being from a kid's point of view, but that's not entirely true. I am pretty sure whoever the narrator is, he or she is unreliable. Maybe it's a fly on a wall, an unreliable fly on a wall. I gotta think about it.

B Moore, think how I feel.

Yeah, Munch/Steadman/Bacon/Graham Ingels. Or something like that.

Thanks, nolanart. I'm all better now. Because, for dinner, burger and fries!

HTGT, you're more than welcome to, but I hope you've got something more cheerful to, you know, balance things. Maybe I'll do a print of it for people who need depressing, gruesome art.
