R.C.Harvey explains it better than I can in his column at the Comics Journal. Please note bonus comment from my old friend Dan Steffan. Caricature by RCHarvey.
Absolute, complete, total bummer. Discovering and exploring Cul de Sac was such a complete joy, and it has brought me more chuckles and giggles than, well, anything that I can think of. I will sorely miss seeing new strips come out, but I hope that retiring the strip will help you to cope with the Parkinson's. If you ever need a break from the break, please do ink the occasional strip - your creativity is a rare treasure.
