Cul-de-Sac the Book! Almost-

Here it is Sepetember 2nd already and the day that Amazon posted as the Cul de Sac book release date is 24 hours behind us. For the thousands/several/both/none of you who inquired about when the book will ship, I can only answer, I dunno, soon?

Till it starts actually flying off the shelves I've got another teaser. But be warned, it's really violent.

Amazon says they'll be shipping mine this Friday. That's because it was cloudy and rainy the entire Labor Day weekend in the Pacific Northwest and the weather is now clearing up and they're all going out hiking and frolicking and hang all that shipping book nonsense.

I pre-ordered mine a while ago. I can't wait to get it!

I love the Ernesto character. Will he be showing up in the strip more now that Petey will be back in school?

Hey, mine's theoretically out today too, as is Brad Meltzer's - 3 flavors of comic books in one day.

I also pre-ordered Cul-De-Sac and Meltzer's book from amazon.

Meltzer's book shipped yesterday (on Labor Day) and I should get it tomorrow.

Cul-de-Sac? not a peep. >:

I was hoping to have it to take with me on a flight at the end of the week.

Thank you, not-yet-satisfied customers. Let me know if youall would when it does ship. I oughta order one myself just to track it.

And I'm going to offer some kinda deal where if you'd like a signed book you can send it to me with an sase.

Norm, yeah, I like Ernesto and I just wrote some dailies with him. i figure he's like a James Bond villian in embryo, a little psychological bully.

Mike, I'll put up a link to your book...

I'm a confused customer. Amazon still says my Cul de Sac books ship on Sept. 5- but when you go to the book's product page it says they won't have it in stock until Oct. 1.

And Mike's book may have theoretically come out today but Amazon says they won't ship it to me until November!

Amazon just made me approve an extension to the delivery estimate to October 17 :-(

Delivery estimate: October 3, 2008 - October 17, 2008

I'm on my way to the local BN. If I happen to see one there, I'll post something later.

Oh, man - I really need the 35 copies I ordered for Columbus Day presents... There are going to be a lot of disappointed Knights of Columbus out there.

Can't wait for the book. My local paper doesn't carry it and I'm looking forward to reading Cul-de-Sac from the beginning.

Ha ha. I called you (Richard) this morning about all this becuase I was a lazy soul who had not checked the blog. Yipe! A mea culpa to you, Mr. Cul de Sac!

I phoned Barnes & Noble. It's not in their warehouses yet, but in the case of late books, sometimes the book will skip the warehouse and go directly to the local B&N. They are telling me the same thing that the Amazon page says: book release: October 2.

Hope they're wrong!

here today, gone tomorrow said...

Now my glasses are askew!
