Books Almost. No, Really!

I'm told by my book editor that books should indeed have started shipping from the warehouse to stores, etc, on September 2nd. Amazon has an automatic responder that is easily confused, and when nothing shipped on the original date, September 1st, as it was a national holiday, the responder went berzerk and started spewing misinformation. So, I hope, the Cul de Sac book should be finding its way to your home bookshelf, nightstand, coffee table or little basket of old magazines next to the toilet real soon. Sooner at least than October for crying out loud.
Let me know how it goes, if you would.

Hey Richard--are you coming to SPX? I feel like Mike or you mentioned that you'd be there? I'm mulling over whether to wait and buy the book there direct from the source.

Yes! I'll be there, but I won't have a table (neither will Mike), but I'm going to try'n do a book sigining somewhere. Or I'll just sell 'em out of the van.

Just checked my Amazon account. Says it's supposed to ship out today (the 5th).
Hurry, damn it! :)

Great news Brian!

Richard, you're part of an SPX panel with Tom Tomorrow, Reuben Bolling, Jen Sorenson, Ted Rall and others, right?

Mark Anderson will have a table at SPX, so I'll be hanging out there. I am his Sancho Panza.

No, I'm more like his Manuel, from FAWLTY TOWERS.

You are on the SPX poster!

And just how far North *does* "North Bethesda" go? Rockville doesn't have the cachet, so every pseudo-tony establishment on 355 is in "North Bethesda"? argh argh rant rant...

Dear Richard, I ordered your book on Amazon and hoped to have it for my girlfriend's birthday (the day between the 10 an the 12 of September...).
Yesterday Amazon wrote me an email in which they apologize for the delay...ONE month!
I dunno, is it because I'm in Italy? :-)

Anyway, thank you for your work, Sara and me love it a lot!!!

bye (and sorry for my english...)
